Play each sentence, then say it out loud copying the rhythm and stress. Record yourself and compare.
It could be argued that the new timetable benefits younger pupils more than it does those preparing for their final examinations.
I'm inclined to think that the findings, while promising, may not apply to every region.
To a certain extent, the committee's reluctance is understandable, though it hardly justifies such a lengthy delay.
Frankly, I wouldn't have thought it advisable to launch the campaign before the summer, but I may well be mistaken.
There seems to be a growing consensus, at least among the staff I've spoken to, that the scheme needs rethinking.
Not that I'm opposed to the idea in principle; it's simply that the timing strikes me as somewhat unfortunate.
