Mina is nine. She lives in Istanbul. Every morning she walks to school with her brother.
Today there is a small yellow cat near the school gate. The cat is thin and it looks hungry. Mina has a piece of cheese in her bag. She gives it to the cat. The cat eats it and says, "Miaow!"
After school, the cat is there again. Mina smiles. "Hello, my friend," she says.
